2

Viewed in over 208 countries worldwide, Germany’s top football league, the Bundesliga announced that Tag Heuer would be the official timekeeper and watch sponsor this season.

German football has been given a considerable boost in viewership following the German national team’s historic World Cup Win in 2014. Following this historic event Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert and Tag Heuer’s Jean-Claude Biver announced a historic three year sponsorship deal.

Defending Champions Bayern Munich have got off to a flying start, scoring at least two goals per game including a 5-0 drubbing of Hamburger SV.  Featuring top players such as World Cup winners Thomas Muller and midfield maestro Julian Draxler, the Bundesliga is an exciting competition with many top stars that gives other top footballing competitions like English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga a run for their money.

Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Claude Biver referred to The Bundesliga as “One of the most powerful and comprehensive platforms imaginable” and that “It will allow us to pursue a different perspective in terms of our sponsorship with huge new possibilities, particularly in the digital arena.”

A dynamic and exciting competition, the Bundesliga has got off to a flying start and next week’s heavyweight clash between Bayern and second place Bayer Leverkusen promises to be a thrilling contest.

Aligning with such an exciting brand as the Bundesliga, Tag Heuer promise to break the mould of sports sponsorship and expose this iconic brand to an audience of devoted sports fans.
